OddGoods is a brand new initiative from the Food Bank for the Heartland, with the goal of educating residents on the harms and impact unnecessary food waste has both environmentally and socially. It’s no secret that many produce don’t see the light from a supermarket simply because they are too “ugly” to be purchased. OddGoods is here to help spread the word on this harmful practice, and save as many of them to help distribute these “ugly” goods to residents here in the Heartland.
Food Bank for the Heartland wanted an identity that leaned into a more grassroots feel with fun illustrations that embraced the imperfectness of unwanted produce. This was done by creating promotional items that relied on recycled and eco-friendly materials, helping enforce their mission on being more environmentally conscious.
